On a more serious note, if we didn't fire Dubose for a similar incident then know way we would fire Saban. It was almost 15 years ago so please correct me if I am misremembering the incident

But Mike Price was fired before even coaching a game.... ya know... strippers, credit cards n stuff.
Oh the glory days of Alabama football while I was a student there...

Am I the only one who doesn’t think Petrino deserves to get fired over this?
I understand what he did was wrong to his family and the fact that he lied to his superiors about it (which to the best of my understanding is a breach of contract), and I understand the negative press and negative recruiting that will come from this situation.
But I don’t think a mistake that occurred in his personal life is something that he deserves to be fired for.

Yeah, but Price hadn't even coached a game yet. Dubose had actually been there a few years and recently won an SECC so probably a little closer comparison.

Bama wouldn't fire Saban for something like this, no way.
Petrino probably won't be fired either. The timing is too bad. He's suspended right now and may get some kind of financial fine from the school, be put on probation of some kind and all this will blow over in a month or so.

I agree...He's not going anywhere...Rick Petino was just in the final four by the way..He had a similar situation not so long ago

Alabama didnt fire Mike Dubose after he did the exact same thing Petrino has done (minus the motorcycle.)..In fact Dubose received a contract extension because he won an SEC title that year..Alabama lost a sexual harrassment case to his mistress and paid her 250,000 dollars. Dubose went on to basically ruin Bama fotball for a decade..

It would be impossible for this scenario to play out - Petrino's mistress is 6'0" (which is girl talk for 6'2"). Saban would need a step ladder just to, well....

My whole thing on this is, who cares? Saban didn't do that, even though many of yall wish he did. The only way teams jump Bama in terms of greatness is if Saban retires, gets fired or changes jobs.
