Would it be meaningful to start keeping more stats?

I've always been curious to see how many of a QB's passing yards are actually through the air versus a little five yard slant that the WR turns into a big gain (but both players net in the books). I'm sure there are other similar things that shed certains stats and records in a different light. Do y'all think we should start recording things like that?

Just subtract YAC from passing yards and you have that.
I'd like to see garbage time stats vs real stats

Don't see why not, but it could be a slippery slope turning football into baseball with the individualistic mentality. Don't want it to be something that people "play on paper" if that makes sense.

I would like to see a stat to determine how lockdown a CB is.
Example: "Darrelle Revis only allows his WR to catch the ball 15% of the time"
