My first reaction is yeah, we could use the money, but the government would piss it away like they do everything else. As long as I don't have to work with them or drive on the road with them, I really don't give a crap one way or the other. Non-smoker here.

1st, corporate tax rates are already really low as they are quite good at not paying or shifting assets offshore, etc. (not proposing raising their taxes however) I think that marijuana and sports gambling should both be fully legalized and taxed like cigarettes and alcohol.

I'm anti-use with MJ, but would be in favor of legalizing it for those purposes (as I am with the lottery in Alabama, dammit). The only thing is, more revenue doesn't mean much in the federal sense because gubmint will figure out a way to blow 90% of it on useless BS and let the rest trickle down to education, etc. I'm pretty much flying solo as a Republican, because I don't believe that someone else can't have something because I choose not to have it. You do have to draw the line in some places, but weed is no more dangerous to society than alcohol, of which I partake on most any excuseable occasion.

I've never done ANY illegal drug and rarely use prescription meds of any kind. I seldom take Tylenol for goodness sake yet I'm 100% behind LEGALIZING all drugs. Prohibition doesn't work, it didn't work for alcohol and it's a collosaul failure for drugs too. Look at the Trillions of dollars that are wasted building jails, hiring extra law enforcement, judges, lawyers, etc... all in an attempt to tell an adult what he/she can or cannot do on their own time and put in their own bodies.

Legalize it all and sell it in stores just like we do alcohol and tax the crap out of it. You don't have to worry about people being high and driving any more/less than you do drinking and driving. Give a FST or come up with some kinda test to verify they are high/over some limit and be done with the mess.

Let's do it, then change the part under The Blue Board "We aren't just committed to college football; we're early enrolling in it." to "Where herb is legal."

Funny how there is overwhelming support ITT and in polling, yet politicians don't listen.

I hate that part

It kinda would make sense to let farmers grow it for distribution rather than paying farmers to stop farming.
