Wow, Greg Popovich.. That ain't right

  • Spurs are playing the Heat tonight and he decides to sit Tony Parker, Duncan and Ginobili... I don't understand why he does this crap, I mean, I know it's because he has an old team but damn, those fans are paying a TON of money to watch these elite teams play at full strength. Why doesn't he rest them against a weaker opponent? This game is on national TV against the defending champs and he rests his big 3. I also have sour grapes because I have Parker in 1 of my Fantasy Money leagues and Ginobili in my other money league.. This really blows for a LOT of people.

    This is true.. But this move makes absolutely no sense.. It's wrong for the people that bought tickets, TNT that's televising this game, people who want to actually watch some of the game, people in fantasy like myself, etc...

    He couldn't do this against Washington next game? It just has to be on a nationally televised game against the defending champs.. I don't see Boston doing this with Pierce, Garnett and those guys.

    It's a bitch move to rest your guys against the defending champs. And I'm a fan of Pop. Rest them against another team, not Miami.

    I'd be pissed if I was fan attending the game but other than that, Pop has earned the right to do what he wants with his team. He has the best road record in history winning something like 28 out of the last 32. Better than any other team, ever. Plus, its late November and this game doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things.

    I'm a Laker fan so I am not biased in any way but Pop get my respect and the idiot who does the scheduling should get kicked in his nuts.

    I agree but I wish the NBA could do something about it. I don't really blame Pop for doing it because he needs those old farts in the playoffs and not thre regular season. Still seems a bit early in the year to be pulling this BS.

    I would think maybe the NBA should be able to make the Spurs organization pay money so that the fans can be somewhat recompensated for all the money they spent on what is equivalent to a garbage game now. I know they would have to make a rule but maybe they could put one in that the organization would be required to pay the money unless these players are legitimately injured.

    I know it won't work but it's a thought.

    I saw the ticker at the bottom of ESPN where Stern released a statement saying the Spurs would face substantial penalties for doing this. I was actually thinking...you are the moron that scheduled his old ass team to play 4 times in 5 days. He is telling you how stupid you are and you are too stupid to even understand it. Stern is a real hard and I love that Pop is giving him the finger.
