so, not only do they protect their QB but they snag two weapons who know how to work together for Ponder to throw to.
now, thats not all they did. They address their biggest needs in the secondary by using their 2nd round pick on a Safety in Harrison Smith and their third round pick on a CB in Josh Robinson
they're doing well in the draft this year
For the record, Harrison Smith was a 1st round pick. We haven't had many of those lately, so I had to correct it.

For those not familiar with Cousins, he came to MSU pretty much a nobody. No offers from B1G schools, some offers from local MAC schools.
He joined a MSU QB corps loaded with the likes of Nick Foles and Keith Nichol - two very highly regarded QB's. He beat both of them out for the starting job, then proceeded to become perhaps the best QB in MSU's history. If I could nickname Cousins, I'd call him "The surgeon". He doesn't move well, but he's the smartest guy going, and he'll dissect a defense if given enough time. I see him as a Tom Brady-esk type QB.
