The guy who plays with cal is my best friend so I can vouch for him. He's gonna run curls on you if you blitz half the game and play off his receivers, thats simple knowledge. If you don't adjust you gon keep getting blasted with the same play or the same route. football is about adjustments. A cover 4 or cover 3 conservative would have kept him from that. But from the convo we had after the game, he pointed to the aggressive play of TA&M as to why he stuck with it. No one is going to run seven step drops when you blitz alot, this ain't the CPU. That's football, and if that can't be tolerated, then what are we playing for?

And while I'm here, the 4th and 22 on with tulsa from the 30 whatever. As he explained to me, his kicker sucks, and he has no faith in pooch punting or coffin corner. So, only being up by 4 (as he told me), i would have went for it to. And if that makes me wrong so be it, but I'm not going to concede to you because of a successful third down stop. The probability of him making it was as low as a punt or fg attempt. Either way, you call a cover four, or man coverage for that matter, and stop him short. I went for it on 4th and 2 vs tulsa around the same yard line because I needed the coversion. Is that against the rules or is their a certain down and distance where that isn't acceptable?

Just my two cent, tulsa played me without gimmics the first and second game, and I've know the cal guy since 07. These guys play fair, within rules. But what they do is make you adjust to their game style and not just pick plays out a hat and run them regardless of the opposing teams playcall.

I've never heard of a game cutting out and both people playing the computer, if there is a connection error the game is usually dropped all together.

I'm sorry your boy is mad that he lost, karma for his actions during the game. If I wanted to play against guys who go for it on 4th & 10+ all the time I'd continue to play ranked games.

there are quite a few plays that can can be ran, but of those choices, if you won't bump when you blitz, you are asking to get curl routed, out routed, and slanted all game. so i gotta find all my plays that work against the blitz cuz the other guy won't play zone and thats cheesing?

I understand how you wants these game to run. The more realistic approach. No nano blitzes, same play all game, i get it. But I feel like what you are trying to regulate are tricks guys find that you can't adjust to. you can adjust and call a coverage to defend every route ran on this game.

I wasn't trying to make a big deal out of it. But all I am going to say is I rarely brought extra defenders. I did mix up some zone blitzes in hopes of catching him off guard but most of the time I was manned up and in press coverage, especially once I noticed he ran a ton of curls. I wasn't trying to complain about it necessarily I was just making an observation when Jeff asked how the game went. I will leave it at that.
