He now resides on their commitment list after they decided they wanted him. How about Dee Liner? The kid sounds like he's waiting for the opportunity to go there from recent interviews. Now Yeldon? I can understand defensive recruits going there, but RB's? Seriously? Going toe-to-toe with them this year, we've lost EVERY battle. This is disappointing coming off a championship run that was successfully tarnished by a highly toxic smear campaign against Auburn and Cam. Regardless of the facts, the casual football fans out there believe we cheated anyway. I don't know if we have a commitment on our list that Bama actually wants, because if we did, they'd just snag them anyway. Someone tell me why I should believe different?
Of course, all that hinges on Yeldon. He is the single-most important recruit to gauge how Coach Chizik is doing against Coach Saban. If he was uncommitted, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. But he is committed to us. He has been since early Summer. If Coach Chizik can hang on to Yeldon like he hung on to Coleman, it will be a huge victory for us and will at least show that we can compete against Bama in recruiting. If not, we're in for some lean years against them.
