Nice to see you feeling okay enough to post today, you know..... after getting RG3'd yesterday

Watched it with my 81 year old grandma who is a die hard skins fan.

Handing her money after the game just made it worse.

Texas, Oklahoma, WVU is a better top 3 than FSU, Clemson, and VT.

After that, it isn't even a debate that the Big 12 is deeper. I would have loved for WVU to play an ACC schedule this year instead of the Big 12 schedule.

I mean, The highest ACC SOS is around 45... I don't think there is a single Big 12 school with an SOS that low.

WVU is not in the top 3 in the Big 12.

KSU under Snyder is a stronger program IMO, as is TCU under Patterson.

Until Holgerson gets any semblance of a defense WVU will struggle.
    JMO obviously.

This year, yes. There is no denying that this year there is a weakness, big time.

The ACC did have a team beat an OOC opponent from an AQ conference with at least 7 wins at the moment though. Can't say that for the Big12.

FSU and Clemson both definitely beat Texas and West Virginia and at worst split with OU, IMO. Va Tech and WVU could be a good game.

My point also included possible expansion. IF the ACC can keep the teams that they still have, I am not sure the Big12 could expand in a way that would help them any as far as on the field.

Honestly though your argument would be better served including Kansas St, Okie St, or TCU instead of WVU. FSU still beats all 3 of those though, IMO. Clemson and Kansas St would be a great game.

    Clemson splits with OU? Really?

FSU comes close, but they don't match the consistency OU has brought over the past decade.

Texas is extremely young and will be back once Diaz or Mack is gone.

I absolutely agree. ACC still has teams in the talent rich states of Georgia, Florida, etc. The B12 has the state of Texas. In the end it is about the recruits and the ACC has a much better base of talent. Now they need to get some coaching. I think Miami has the right coach and will be good as soon as the sanctions will permit them.

The state of Texas is a pretty damn good recruiting base, and the Big 12 is still top dog in the state.

The ACC has schools in good recruiting bases, but the only major state they have an edge in is Florida. Virginia is nice, but it doesn't compare to Texas or Georgia.

So unless the ACC overtakes the SEC in Georgia (not happening) or locks down the Carolina's and Virginia, that potential won't be realized.

Youth isn't an excuse for a program like Texas. Alabama has 9 Seniors this year. Youth at a program of that stature should be able to produce.

After 3 years of average to poor results, youth can not be an excuse, IMO.

I said between OU and Texas, Clemson splits those games. Actually pretty easily. No way Texas beats Clemson and you think a ton of a lot more of OU right now than I do I guess.

I absolutely agree about Texas. They're stuck in a rut right now, and despite some excellent talent they haven't had the leadership they've been spoiled with in Vince and especially Colt over the years.

I respect Mack, and think he deserves the option to step down instead of being fired, but he should be gone after the past few seasons. Inexcusable lack of production, all there is to it.

This season they would beat Texas, but as a program Clemson doesn't sniff Texas's jock strap. Texas will be back, it's only a matter of time. Clemson has been the best they've been in years, and still haven't won more than one conference title in a conference that's had some down years, or a BCS bowl game.

And OU lost two games this year, one to a very good KSU team, and one to an undefeated and extremely overachieving ND team. Landry has proven he can lose any game at any time, but OU is good enough to dispatch of a Clemson team that doesn't play defense very well. I think OU would match up we'll against Clemson's defense better than Clemson's offense matches up against OU's defense. And in terms of program, once again, Clemson doesn't come close to OU.

Agree to disagree. I think the Big 12 has been more impressive than the ACC this season, and has been the past several years. FSU's slump, as we'll as Miami's slump, with VT's inability to get it done on the national stage has anchored that conference as the third or fourth best in the country, behind the SEC and Pac12/Big12.

Yeah, it's not happening. FSU may be fine but there's a good chance they'll never return to what they were in the 90's. Miami does not have th resources to ever be the power they were. Good yes, great no. Virginia Tech is a huge question mark once Beamer retires. They were nothing before him and could be nothing after him.

LOL at people sleeping on Miami.
    Miami will be great again.
