Lebron is able to do the things he does because physically he's a mutant. Whereas Jordan and Kobe rely on raw skill, IQ, and I'm not sure Lebron will ever be able to touch either of their work ethic.

False, I hate Lebron more than anybody but acting like he isn't a smart basketball player is ridiculous

He isn't a genius off the court but on it, there aren't many smarter

His will to win is the only thing I question in terms of comparing him to the greats of all time

He wants to win, but I don't think it consumes him like it did a Jordan or does a Kobe

Again inaccurate. Lebron is among the most tireless workers in the NBA.

There is a reason KD comes to work out with Lebron.

And if Lebron had Jordan or Kobes body?

    15 pts. a game...

Exactly. Killer mentality and IQ are not the same.

I guess I was just comparing him to the other marquee faces of leagues past...

He has a high IQ, but not in the Jordan or Kobe realm.

    But he doesn't.

Funny that you tried to claim you harbor no ill will towards lebron.

BTW Lebron's record against Kobe lifetime is much superior, and much of that is with a vastly inferior team.

When all is said and done in their careers LBJ >> Kobe

Lebron is a basketball player I believe just because of his physical form. IMO nothing about his game is pure. His jump shot looks awkward to say the least. He's a mental midget. (But after last season might have changed my mind) immature (he's getting better with that to)
When he drives to the bucket he looks like a wild banshee out of control.

  • Can't argue fundamentals vs domination.

Kobe and MJ are more fundamentally sound, but LBJ's size/speed/strength/athleticism combo is the best the gm has ever seen, outside of maybe Shaq.

I can't fault him for that. That's the sole reason I'd take Shaq over Hakeem. Shaq was literally unstoppable in his prime, mainly due to his size/strength + being able to pass outta double teams.

Ok you got me, sorry but it was "The Decision" that made me hate him.

All your points about Lebron were so 2009.

  • If LeBron had Kobe's mental game, they'd reserve a special wing for him in the HOF.

    Bird over Lebron? lol

Not hard to tell who the Lebron haters are in this thread.

Even Bill Simmons wouldn't chose Bird over Lebron.

Actually picking LeBron over Bird at this point means 1 (or both) of 2 things.

    1. You're too young to know about Bird.
    2. You're a LeBron fanboy.

Better shooter, better rebounder, better competitor.

    Lebron is a better rebounder.

Lebrons peak years are better than Birds.

    I am a Lebron fanboy.

Lebron is more athletic, better in transition, better defender, more versatile, and realistically a better passer (I know Bird is great, Lebron is better).

You are a Lebron hater if you actually think Bird is a better player than Lebron. It's laughable in fact.

    Better "competitor"? Why?

This Lebron doesn't want it shit is actually really dumb. If you believe it, you watch ESPN a little too much and let personal feelings get in the way of realistic opinions.

Lebron is going to be GOAT SF be the end of his career. He has improved every year, including this year, so his best years are likely still ahead of him.

LeBron is the better rebounder? Where, in your fantasy land?

Bird averaged 10 Rebounds for his career
LeBron never has averaged 10 in a season

Well if you don't consider defense part of the game then I guess that's fine.

Hakeem is the all time leader in blocks, and top 10 in steals as a Center.

When you add in the fact that he averaged 20 a game and could be left on the floor late in a close game, because he could make a FT, I'd take The Dream.

93-95 Shaq was a better player. 2000 Shaq was fat and benefitted from no offensive foul calls
