aTm students complaining about SEC policy,

It's just meant to show the support for the team.

I thought by the way he put it there was some age old tradition that included the students jumping out of the stands for some apparent reason. If that's the reason behind it then I don't see the problem with it being moved. The students don't need to come out of the stands and onto the field for any reason and most stadium security discourage it and try to prevent it.

Once again, I said I don't really care what other people think about it. I'm sure this is something that was talked about before our move to the SEC and they've probably come to some sort of agreement. There's plenty of visitor seating in Kyle Field, there's no reason to move the students, i highly doubt our higher ups would have agreed to that. Also f*ck the Big 12.

I hope they move you to comply with SEC rules. No one else can do it, why make an exemption for TAMU?

Plus, can you not stand for the 12th man from somewhere else in the lower bowl?

No, there is a tradition attached to the 12th man, I just don't feel like typing it all out. So here is a link. It's the reason that A&M has the 12th man trademarked.

That entire side of the field is just students, the seats that they're talking about moving are just the band and Corps so they might leave them there because I doubt that the band and the Corps are going to throw anything. If we do get an exception, it'll only be because of that. It's really up to the other athletic directors and Slive.

  • When you're down by 20, does a 12th Man even matter? Hell, come to Bryant-Denny, we'll spot you a 13th.

11th loudest stadium? You've clearly never been. A&M is one of the best gameday atmospheres is all of sports.

I've been. Not really impressed. Definetly not as loud as LSu, Auburn, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina. After that, does it really matter? Maybe not 11th but who really gives a shat.

  • The entire point of the 12th Man is that the students are ready to come out of the stands and pitch in if needed.

Which makes the 12th man that much more ridiculous.

How about the entire state of Alabama being a shithole? The teabag incident? Poisoning your rivals' main tradition? The list goes on and on about your state showing class.

Coming from some people, these statements could mean something. aTm fans aren't some of those people. Your biggest claim to fame is...I'm drawing a blank. What IS your claim to fame? It used to be being the 2nd biggest rival of UTx. You lost that, so what else do you have?

I guess their biggest claim to fame is the same as Auburn. They've got a blueblood as a main rival. They're Auburn. With less championships. Yes. I'm suprised thats possible to.

Hey don't go down that road with Alabama. Most fans are like me and see the history of mutual respect between our two universities. Bryant, stallings, etc.... Our programs are linked in history, A&M is steeped in tradition, and opening Texas will be huge for the SEC and for A&M. Don't let the few ignorant idiots give you the wrong impression.

  • I DO remember how much they thought they had surpassed Bama by hiring the Great Franchione out from under us. I guess "Holding that rope" kinda went into the crapper after the Sooners ass-raped them on National TV by 70.

If the SEC gets an actual network going and follows the B1G/Pac revenue model Aggie and the Gators will be the biggest revenue drivers for the conference.

Since when has the SEC ever been a follower? And to suggest that the premier conference in america is going to follow the Big Slow conference and the No Defense conference (not the big XII, the other one out west) is pretty much asinine.

Slive will, obviously, come up with some other brilliant ground breaking idea in due time.
