    Oh, loop holes.

    I can play that game.

LSU had different suspensions/injuries/depth chart in those 2 games, so you Played a different LSU "team" in the NC game and therefor, you did not beat each individual team on your schedule by 17+.

Haha ok that's pretty nitpicky. But as cobb pointed out, it should say 16 not 17.

  • Well forgot about PSU...Guys im not arguing that Bama is the greatest team...We lost a game....But every team on the schedule experienced at least a 16 point loss to Bama...

  • Would love to see how many minutes we trailed in regulation? I doubt we trailed in the second half of regulation all year long!

This thread is dumb. You didn't beat every team on the schedule by 17, you lost to us.

Then we got added to a post season schedule where you beat us but you did not beat every team you "scheduled" by 17.

Whooped our ass in basically a new season though.

I think you are trying to make this too complicated. You just need to ask yourself 2 questions.

    1. Was LSU on Alabama's schedule this season?
    2. Did LSU lose to Alabama by 17+ this season?

No, they weren't on the "Schedule" genius.

Do you have your bowl game for this season on your schedule right now?

A schedule is already made.. Post season games are not on your schedule because it's not a planned game.

    Just sayin'

  • If you look at our "schedule" on pretty much any website it shows LSU January 9.

  • I think 1995 Nebraska gets the award for beat downs in a season:
    64-21
    59-10
    77-28
    49-7
    35-21
    57-0
    49-25 (v. #8 Kansas St.)
    44-21 (@ #9 Colorado)
    73-14
    41-3 (@ #10 Kansas)
    37-0 (v. Oklahoma - Last Big 8 Football Game)
    62-24 (v. #2 Florida)

  • OK,LSU had a great team and they beat Alabama..Im just asking if there has ever been a team to beat every team on its schedule by such a wide margin..Props to LSU for the great season...

We beat every team we played by 16 points or more. Yes, LSU beat us. We played them twice though, hence the "every team we played", and the second time beat them by 21 points. We lost a game and lost it to a great team, one of the best of the BCS era IMO. I think that and the fact that the loss kept us from winning an SEC title will keep us from being mentioned with the great teams of all time (although our defense will be considered one of the best ever). However, I think 2011 Bama was better than 2009 Bama and was better than several BCS champions. We just happened to run into another one of the best teams of this era but proved our worth by whooping them the second time around.

Nobody is arguing 2011 was as good as 95 Nebraska or 01 Miami. Those teams are arguably the best ever. I do believe that 2011 Alabama could stay close with either team though due to the defense. 9 TD's yielded the entire season, one coming in garbage time and one coming after an INT gave the opponent the ball at our 3 yard line. Gave up 8.15 points/game. Don't think we'd beat those teams but I think we could make it competitive.

I can't believe you are being this dense. You were on our schedule on Nov. 5. We lost that game but later beat you by 21. So:

1)Was LSU ON Bama's schedule? Yes
2)Did Bama beat LSU by 17+ this year? Yes
