anyone ever buy on stubhub?

  • i want to get some tickets to a game that is a "if necessary". do u just reserve to buy the tickets or what? TIA

  • You buy them online and pick them up at some random location by the venue with ID.

    At least that was my experience but I've only done it once.

    Not really sure how if necessary games work, but in general StubHub has always appeared to be ran very well.

    Relatively sure StubHub requires you to have a credit card on file to sell, therefore allowing them to take care of refunds if necessary ... such as "if necessary" games.

  • If the event is cancelled or postponed:
    If an event is cancelled and will not occur at a later date, we will provide you with a refund for the cost of the tickets, including service fees and shipping and handling charges. We will notify you that the event was cancelled by sending you an email which will provide instructions on how to obtain the refund.

    If an event is postponed or rescheduled, you may use the tickets on the rescheduled date or, time permitting, list them for sale on StubHub. If an event is postponed but replacement tickets are required for entry to the event on the rescheduled date, StubHub will work to obtain replacement tickets for you.     Yeah, you get a refund. Buddy of mine did that for the Cardinals tie breaker game last year and got his money back when it wasn't necessary.

    Yeah, they're not very clear on that. We tried for a while to find out for sure before the guy bought the Cards tix and then get just decided to chance it. They did refund his money though.

  • have purchased lots of tickets through them and never had a problem with refunds when the event was cancelled etc... great place to buy tickets as well as VIVIDSEATS.com - highly rec that site as well
