had they not have been so stupid they likely would have been eligible for bowl game ^^^this year..

Actually they wouldn't be in this mess if Tressell wouldn't have lied to the NCAA trying to cover it up. If he would have come clean to them, Ohio State would be playing for a natty title this year more than likely. I don't think the tattoo issue would have been anything more than a run of the mill probation for a minor infraction. They may have lost a couple of schollies, but I don't think they would have lost bowl eligibility.

I don't disagree at all but I think that is why Urban jumped at that job. He got tired of the brutal SEC schedule and knew that there would only be one or two teams tops that would have a chance to beat him. All you can do is beat the teams on your schedule though. It's not OSU's fault that the rest of the Big X sucks.

You know full well that he saw the writing on the wall with Saban, Miles and the rest of the coaches in the conference getting more high profile every year. He has a heart condition that requires him to retire and he is miraculously better a year later.
He's a good coach but he folded like a cheap suit. I would respect you a lot more if you actually admitted it rather than blowing him at every opportunity. Urban's offense will never beat a good SEC team anymore. The SEC figured his offense out and he couldn't do dick after 2009.

He burnt himself being the most efficient coach in college football by winning two titles in 6 years, it consumed his life and almost destroyed his family. He chose to retire because of stress related issues. Look at what his recruits are doing at Florida, they're killing.
