That shizz was nuts mane and for rap actually sounded amazing live

They really put on shows everywhere they went

We were in the verizon center and everybody was smoking weed, I couldn't believe it

You could look into the lights and see thousands of exhales at the same time, looked cool as shit but maybe I was just high as shit

Got a picture with Kurupt, great time

  • I believe a State Radio concert in 08 was my first but I'd have to say the Dispatch concert I went to last summer or the As I Lay Dying concert I went to a couple years back was the best I've been to.

  • First concert Blood Sweat & Tears at the Anaheim Convention center in '69. A folk singer named John Dutchendorf opened for them. Later he changed his last name to Denver.

Best concert a tie between the Who at Anaheim Stadium in '70 and the Stones at the Forum in '73. I was 3 feet from the stage in front row seats I got mail order. Jagger was pissed at the scalpers so he had one show he sold all mail order and I got lucky.

    Looks like another perfect day.

plus 50^^^ i envy you. The who concert i saw in 89 was the 20th anniversary of 'tommy'...about a 31/2 hour show of perfection...i quit going to concerts after that for a long time because nothing could even come close...fantastic band...great live...saw them again in 97...still great. Rush puts on a great show. kicking myself for never seeing pink floyd.

  • First - Beach Boys in the pouring rain at the Traverse City Cherry Festival in the mid 90s.

Best - AC/DC in 2008. My favorite band did not disappoint the first and only time I have seen them.

    purple_rein

  • First - Green Day in 95 or so, when i was in 5th grade

Best- Festival International in Lafayette, La. Hung out at the hotel where the musicians were staying and played music by the pool till 6am every night. Best, most eclectic jam I've ever played. people were switching from Django tunes to Buena Vista Social Club songs.

Hey if your first was the Kinks you have great taste in music.

I spent my 21st birthday attending a Kinks concert at the Palladium. I was so hammered I ended up on stage for the last couple of songs the partied with some of the band in the parking lot afterwards. The Davies bros came by and and said hi took off in their limo while the rest of the the band acted as their own roadies. We gave them a hand. A great night.

  • First concert was the Beatles first in Los Angles at the Hollywood Bowl in 1964. It was madness!

Way too many "best"...first super group Blind Faith at the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara, 1969...Bob Marley in '79 (I think) at the Roxy....Jimi Hendrix, Earl Warren Showgrounds Santa Barbara 1967....Howlin' Wolf, Fillmore Auditorium 1967.

Damn..too many great concerts to name...add Miles Davis and Dexter Gorden in the 70s...
