fraud credit report: help me

i recently had something show up on my credit report. i investigated it and everything seemed really strange. i sent the company a letter to send me the info and 2 months later i havent received anything. anyone know what i need to do to get this off of my credit report? thanks

The credit bureau will investigate it and if the company can't substantiate it or doesn't respond, it will be removed.

There 3 credit reporting bureaus in the U.S.. I would pull a report on all 3 to see if it shows on any of the others as well. If it does, you have to respond to each one accordingly.
