My grandfather has a Troy-Built - had it for 2 years and blew the packing out of the cylinder - called Troy-B and they sent him to a Hydraulic shop to get the cylinder re-packed for free - they also service it.
It works great - we split around 600 logs the weekend before Christmas. No issue with Oak, Chestnut or Pine.
