  • It's pretty simple: in gun-free zones, people die in mass shootings and crime is up.

In non-gun free zones, very low crime and murders (hardly any, really).

That's just not true. That's not to say that a searcher won't find a job, but there has never been a job for every person. It's impossible for the market to act in 100% efficiency on it's own unless there was a different method being used like communism, but that's not going to happen nor is it a truly efficient way to manage resources, so it doesn't really matter if everyone has a "job".

Wrong. Case in point: McDonald's hired 62,000 people on their 2011 National Hiring Day. They received over a million applications. Clearly, McDonald's is not always hiring, nor can anyone who wants a job simply get one at McDonald's.

McDonald's Turned Away More than 938,000 Applicants on

According to a statement released earlier today, McDonald's turned away more than 938,000 applicants on their recent National Hiring Day.

Don't feel like researching to answer point one.

Point two was a miscalculation on the macro side (by almost every economist by the way: the consensus was the recession wasn't as bad as it really was the stimulus would have a greater short-term effect than it did).

Point three is on hold. It's not 2014 yet.

Point four is still in the running. There are still many grants and funds that are being used to develop technologies that have very promising results.

Can you show me a reality-based example of the principle that "If a person wants a job bad enough, there are plenty to be had"?

Are you really saying that unemployment simply comes down to laziness? In your view, is unemployment only a choice?

A person can get themselves a job if they REALLY and TRULY want it. If that involves moving to a different state, going up for prostitution/porn(Not recommended) then it can be done.
