  • What is he supposed to say? He has to get sick of everybody talking about Michigan while his program is enjoying there first winning streak in this series since the 60's. His program plays second fiddle in their state to Michigan and regionally to tOSU, ND, PSU, Neb... it has to get old.

    What I find interesting in the article, and actually means something on the field is,

    "And while the Spartans feel they can go seven or eight deep at defensive tackle, they have yet to discover someone there who can take over a game the way Worthy could when he was switched on.

    "I didn't realize what a difference he made until he left," defensive end William Gholston said. "The first couple of practices I was like, 'Man, it's not the same.'""

    I mean what do you expect? He's a first round talent. If anyone said he was replaceable they would be lying. The luxury is having Gholston who is also a first round DE talent and a year older to make up for some of that vacancy.

    I see that you are new here, but just yesterday MSU fans were saying Worthy leaving wouldn't matter. Some were suggesting that one of the DTs will be better than Worthy. lol

  • I wasnt surprised at all with what he said. Id expect nothing else when MD is asked about Michigan. If Hoke were asked about osu, he would have probably said "oh well you know, we are gonna come out and compete yadda yadda yadda" haha. I like our coaches demeanor when interacting with the media better. Go blue baby!

  • You get the feeling that MD really hates speaking to the media (or even speaking in general). But he'll occasionally give the "enough about Michigan, I've had enough of this shit" comment. That's been the theme of his tenure. Remember, on day 1, he stood at the podium and said that MSU was going to use UM as the measuring stick. Call it "little brotherish" if you want. But the two schools compete in every aspect, from football recruiting to public funding. MD is just standing up for MSU.
