Co worker just told me the same thing. I hope this is a joke. The last thing we need is more government organizations.

The best thing about this is that I have read two articles about the same thing. One was written by the liberally balanced Chicago Tribune where they say that the tree makers have accepted the tax themselves to allow for the marketing of real Christmas trees. The other is another one that is Conservative based that says that it is passed onto the customers for .15 a tree. So on one article it effects someone negatively and on the other it is a positive tax that will only help the tree manufacturers.

Also - maybe it is because I just cleared my cookies, but the ad on the right of this thread is for an artificial Christmas tree. They might want to get that campaign going soon.
