His counter-terrorism policies would infuriate the "left" if Obama was a registered republican. You could argue that his "drone" policy is just as dangerous as torture in terms of unintended consequences and "blow-back"
The Co-Ops and Individual mandate were "right-wing" solutions when they were suggested in the early 90s by people like Bob Dole.
Obama is an establishment moderate, with a few left-wing ideas. Anyone who labels him a "Socialist" doesn't read enough or blindly listens to Fixed News.
