predict your conference bowl record this year

  • The argument all season has been going on as to who the best conference in College Football is, its finally bowl time and teams get to "prove" which conference is best. Here is what the SEC drew this year:
    BCS National Championship Game: Alabama vs. Notre Dame
    All-State Sugar Bowl: Florida vs. Louisville
    Capital One Bowl: Georgia vs. Nebraska
    Outback Bowl: South Carolina vs. Michigan
    Cotton Bowl: Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma
    Chick-fil-A Bowl: LSU vs. Clemson
    Gator Bowl: Mississippi State vs. Northwestern
    Music City Bowl: Vanderbilt vs. NC State
    BBVA Compass Bowl: Ole Miss vs. Pittsburgh
    It looks like Slive runs the NCAA along with SEC with the way this is set up
    8-1 is my prediction, i think Northwestern takes down MSU to hand the SEC their only loss, TAMU v Oklahoma will be close but Manziel pulls it out late for the aggies, Clemson cant handle the LSU defense, NC State loses in the first week to the SEC and ends the season to the SEC, Pitt has played well in some games and have decided not to show up in others, i think the Rebels pull away late, and Alabama shows that once again the Irish are still irrelevant in atleast a 14 point game if not worse as the Bama oline pounds away at the Notre Dame front 7. The other 3 teams need not apply

    Actually, since two of our top teams are ineligible for postseason play, it changes the entire complexion of how our conference stacks up with others from top to bottom. This year's bowl season only tells me that our bowl participation is maligned and not indicative for how the conference is as a whole (although admittedly the conference's last few years worth of piss poor postseason performances give a pretty obvious clue).

    Vandy could very well lose to NC State.
    Ole Miss could lose to Pitt, and I hate Pitt.
    A&M vs. Oklahoma will be a close game.
    Georgia is 1-2 vs. good teams this year. Nebraska isn't a gimme win.
    I fully expect Northwestern to stomp MSU.
    LSU has looked straight up awful at times this season. They come out flat against Clemson, you never know. Hell, they beat Auburn by 2.

    There are potential losses. I don't expect the SEC to lose more than 3, though. Doesn't mean it can't happen.

    Northwestern over Miss State and I think one of the upper tier teams take a loss.

    Maybe Clemson over LSU or Michigan over South Carolina.

    Just don't see the SEC going 8-1 or 9-0. Bowl season is always crazy especially with teams taking so much time off. There will be some upsets.

    Not really. Capital one, outback and gator would be the same. Wisconsin would slide in somewhere in the BWW or meineke, then they start moving down.
