  • I just saw that they are making a jack teacher movie starring Tom cruise?!?!?!?!? For those who are not familiar with teacher novels the main character is a six foot five inch burley ex MP who solves crimes and generally beats the living crap out of the bad guys. Is there a more mis-cast movie out there?

  • I was furious over this. I will not watch. I just bought A Wanted Man on Play Books on my phone. Through 11 chapters so far. Big Lee Child fan. They interviewed him about picking Tom Cruise because of the backlash it received. He said everyone has their own image of Reacher. No, Lee... He is 6' 5" ex Military Police badass. That is who he is. He isn't midget Tom Cruise.

    I won't watch, my mom already said she will not watch, and my wife won't watch. Worst casting decision of all time, IMO, and the movie will flop because of it.

    Liam Neeson would have been the perfect Jack Reacher.

  • Good call on Liam. I would be good with that. Neeson has that dark edge to his characters that would work whereas even if cruise were taller, he's too amiable (or something) to fit. Bad idea all the way around.

    This movie was originally named one shot. I'm not sure why they changed it to Jack Reacher....

    I wouldn't want liam to play Reacher because I don't think he would physically be able to play the role. Definitely not the sequels... Did you see taken 2? I would probably have picked Jason Mamoa (sp) (he played khal drago in season one of game of thrones.) Hell, the guy that played Thor is a better casting decision than Tom cruise.

    I also was pissed, but I will be there opening night. Too big of a Reacher fan to not see it.....

  • I guess I gotta go see it, but it's going to seem so weird since Cruise would need lifts to blow Reacher.
