I have made an executive decision.... I think. Jim Beam Black is certified horse piss, I feel like a bucket of dead azzholes. I am almost never hungover but this stuff is making me regret birth right now. I think I broke the rule though. I started the night on beer then broke out a pint of JBB, drank three glasses "neat" while having to use a chaser cause it tastes like crap. Last nights total. 1 pint JBB + 4 beers,= walking in the yard last night barefoot then going to bed with 1 foot on the floor to keep the room still, Massive headache, upset stomach, every joint in body feels like I went 5 rounds with rampage Jackson. I know I am whining, I don't care misery loves company but I said all that to say this, today will be BEER ONLY, any recommendations? I like it all.
I dream of a day when chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned.

Had Tusker from Kenya last night. It's better than most standard lagers I've tried. You definitely broke the rule Gfortress, and I agree with you on JBB.

I found the Southern Tier Gemini at Total Wine in Greenville. I don't even know if y'all have Total Wine in your area, but if you do, may want to check it out.
It's probably won't taste as good as it does when they first bottle it (which I think is February?) , but it might be worth giving it a shot.

i hear ya. I think the IPA family is best when it is right off the line. And I know that there are some Barleywines that are aged like 5 years.

I feel like I said that a couple weeks ago.. lasted like 1-2 days, something bad happened that day and.......BOOM went the dynamite. But good luck anyway.

Ipas are definitely better the fresher they are. They will age but not in a good way. Ipas are meant to be consumed when they are bright and floral. They become very dull if they get to old. Porters and stouts can do very well with some age. I am aging two porters currently.

Was in Atlantic City this week and a bar in my hotel was supposed to have the 90 minute on tap but they were out. Pissed me off because I've been wanting to try it really bad because of all the good things I've heard. Stone's standard IPA isn't bad either, but Ruination is definitely better.

Not tonight but I'm heading to a small brewery in Jersey tomorrow with some buddies so we'll see what happens there.
Can't remember the name off-hand, but will report back if it's worth doing so.
