I have never had the Smoked Porter, hopefully I'll get the chance one of these years. If it's much better than the Amber, Can't wait to try it. Gettin excited just thinking about it!
Is it very hoppy? Bitter at all?

Not hoppy or bitter at all, just a beautiful smoky aroma and flavor. It's also about as dark of a porter as you'll find.

Drank a bunch of Lagunitas Undercover Shutdown Ale the other night. They were really good, but I blacked out slightly from them.

Opened a growler of the Foothills Hoppyum Ale last night and a drink or three. Very nice beer. A little more balanced than I usually like it. Doesn't stand up to the ABV and IBU of the Foothills Double IPA (Seeing Double), but it is definitely a good, well brewed brew.
I'd give'r an 8 or 8.5.
Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm a schizophrenic and so am I.

probably been mentioned, but have yall had sam adams summer ale? brought a 6er home tonight and i couldnt finish it (rare for me), been religously buying truckstop honey and nakedpig (made by back40brewingco), so i dont know maybe my taste buds adapted or something b/c i did not that summer ale stuff

Finally got to sample something from Founders last weekend. It was Red's Rye PA and it had a very nice taste to it; very good example of a Rye beer. Also had a sampler from a small brewpub called Great Baraboo; their darker stuff was good, but wasn't too crazy about the wheat.

I have not got to try anything new at all lately. It is really starting to drive me crazy. I need to take a beer trip somewhere just to try some new stuff.

I'm a big fan of Great Lakes Brewing Company. One of my favorites is the Conway's Irish Ale. The Christmas Ale is amazing as well.

Everything I have had from Lagunitas has been great. Love the shutdown and also like the undercover and the stories behind them are great. Had the Wilco Tango Foxtrot and the unlucky 13 in last couple of days.

Also - if you like a great IPA try the Hop Crisis IPA by 21st amendment. It is amazing. Strong but amazing.
21st is interesting. They make a lot of canned beer now that is good. Just drink it out of a glass. I loved their dark ipa as well.

Have to agree with you on this one aussie. Anyone been to Outer Banks Brewing Station? I'm going there with a bunch of friends next week on our way to Rodanthe and I was wondering if it's any good.

Me too, me too. Anyone from Kentucky on the board? I went to a wedding about 4 years ago, and had the Kentucky Bourbon Ale and thought it was delicious. But, that was before I really got into good beer. I'm wondering if it would hold up now.

I'm comin in late here, but when it comes to beer I'm ALL ABOUT the Smithwicks. That stuff is liquid heaven, if you haven't tried it I Highly recommend it.
And I don't know why, but I like Wild Turkey whiskey. Everyone always talks crap on it...but I could drink that stuff every weekend.
