focus on lifting hard, and ending your workouts with a short burst high intensity conditioning session. Like a barbell complex. Do cardio later on down the road. Hard lifting + staying generally active most of the day will give you far better results than focusing on cardio

Squats 225x5, 275x5, 315x5, 335x5, 365x3 (I think I might have bitched out by not goin for 5, but that 3rd rep was tough.speed squats 2x185x5
Rumanian deadlift 225x8, 275x8, 275x8 (grip seemed to be the hardest part)
1 leg step ups, 10,8,6,4,2. Reps each side done continuously with no rest
leg extensions 2 sets to failure

Each supplement is different. And no, its not the end of the world if you miss a day or two. I take creatine daily, and whey protein after workouts. Drinking and smoking aren't going to help you make progress, but hard work definetly will overcome these as long as you get to the gym 3-4 times a week and eat the occasional fruit or vegetable.
