  • My brother in law got me some FJ Sport golf shoes for my late bday. Havent tried them on yet and not sure I like the style. Ive had some people tell me they are the most comfortable golf shoes they have ever worn. Footjoy is what I have always worn, just not sure about these. I have the receipt and Im thinking about trading them out for something different. What do yall wear and how do you like them?

Bought me some Callaways today. Felt like I was walking on air. Have had Nike, Footjoy, and now Callaway. The Callaway is the most comfortable golf show I have ever worn, and I love the spikes.

I'm here in Myrtle Beach for the weekend and I'm about to go play. Been waiting on my buddy to meet me so we can get out there soon. We're supposed to already be out there and I'm getting anxious.

I'm heading to Myrtle at the first of june for family vacation. Any suggestions? I've played the following:
    The Tradition (in litchfield beach)
    Waterway Hills
    Arcadia Shores
    Whispering Pines
    Wicked Stick
Looking for somewhere new to play this year

I can't really help you because I hardly ever go to Myrtle anymore. I played Wicked Stick the other day just because the course is so open and I had a guy with me who doesn't play much. The course was great for the price.

  • It has been raining so often in Ohio that I have only played once, but did have my first hole in one. I play Ping Is (forget the number.....they have so many of them now). Still have an old R7 driver. I want a R11, but don't know if I think it is $400 better than my current club.

The R11 is awesome. I never played the R7 but it is much better than my Callaway.

Not a big fan of Callaway woods. Nothing wrong with them, just not my preference.

Go buy the R9 driver. You can find it for a good price right now, and its just as effective as the R11. The R11 is great if you plan on weighting it. Most golfers do not weight their clubs. If you are serious enough to find the perfect weight for you, and plan on changing the weight of the club, then spend the extra money and go R11. If not, go R9. I still play with the Burner driver and love it.

I love my Callaway 3 wood and 2I hybrid. The driver is really good too. I really liked the R11 when I tested it but I like the Burner just as much. I have the Superfast Burner and it probably gave me an extra 10 yards to my drives over my Callaway Diablo.

My wife tried to buy me a golf club once and it ended up with me returning it and her being pissed. She got me a square head10.5% flex shaft. I play a 8.5%, stiff shaft R7 right now. I still hear about it.

lol thats why i try to tell her to stick with putters or wedges..hard to mess that up. Although she did a good job with my woods...

  • Hey folks, any iron preferences? I'm looking for some irons.

I have some REALLY old Mizuno blades and I just don't like them + the grooves are chewed.

I hear the new PING k15 and g15 are amazing. Can always go with the new Anser if you want to shell out some serious dough. What are you wanting to spend?

Love Mizzuno blades, but don't play enough now. I like my Ping Is since they are still pretty thin. I can't hit the bottom heavy clubs.

I am a Taylormade freak. I love their product and have never been disappointed. I also love Titleist and Ping for irons.

I own the R9 irons and plan on having them for quite awhile. You can get some really nice Mizuno irons if you want to stay that route, and they make a quality club as you already know. You can get the R9's for around $500 these days. I bought them about a month after they came out for $1100. Should have waited, but they are worth it.

Go to Dicks, grab a R9 7 Iron, a titleist MB 7 Iron, and a Mizuno JPX Pro 7 Iron. Hit them, and let me know what you think. I'm actually very curious about those new Mizunos.

Caledonia is a beautiful course and well worth the money. About 100 sand traps, but it is an absolute blast to play there.
