Thought for sure you would dispute his tax rate like you know more about his money than he does.

Maybe he wants to lower his income to get into a smaller tax bracket.

Probably a move to Florida. 63% in taxes for him buys a lot of Obama phones.

After reading the board for the past few months I am not surprised that you were one of the first to respond and try to spin it. Do you really think that he deserves to pay that much out of his check to provide for others?

Notice that I asked 1 question. I doubt you can answer it though without spinning it out of control.

Of course you don't care that millionaires don't get to keep the bulk of there checks, because you aren't rich and you envy them. If you had to pay that much then you'd change your tone. It's so easy to say it but they already provide over 75% of the tax revenue while you and your freeloading buddies don't provide jack. So congrats on supporting the moochers because it fits your agenda.

Forget the percentages, just think logical. You pay $10,000 a year but they pay $250,000. (Your $50,000 salary to there $1M)

Why should he put the wear and tear on his body, esp since he has bad arthritis, if you only get a fraction on the reward, no matter how much money you make. If I made a billion dollars, but stood a good chance at going BK and losing everything, why should the government take 62% just because.

BTW, I think if he does retire, it is bc of his arthritis in real life and he is just making a statement.

Hahaha. You don't know shit about me, what I make, or how I live. Luckily, I do well and the overwhelming majority of my friends do as well. Not everyone is that lucky, and it's not because they're lazy moochers either.

He can move to another state if he doesn't like it. Also, I'm willing to bet that he makes millions upon millions that he pays less than 15% on every year. When you're in his position does it really matter if you're take home pay $25 million instead of $30 million? No.

The guy lives in a country where he can make over $50 million a year just playing golf (before you even talk about the investments that just fall in his lap). Him bitching about another 5% in taxes is ridiculous.

I don't know you but how can you say that 1 person deserves to pay a higher % than you? They should call it the "success tax" cuz we all know that is what it really is. If you and your buddies are doing as well as u say then how do you feel about paying more to provide for people that don't feel like putting the effort in to get successful like you did?

I'm fine with it. People who make more should pay more. If they didn't we wouldn't have the military we do, or anything else. Also, I don't assume that people who aren't as successful aren't putting in the effort. The percentage of people who don't put any effort into life is pretty small and it shouldn't screw the rest of the people that work hard but weren't born into great situations, or aren't as smart, or didn't get the breaks other people did in life. I'm all for making the actual moochers have their "handouts" incentivized. The problem is that people like you think that's like 30% of the population when it's no where near that number.

Where did 30% come from? Can you give me something that shows that it is lower?

It didn't come from anywhere. Hell, your nominee said 47% so I thought I'd at least make it a more reasonable number. The number depends on how you define what you're actually looking for and I'm not sure how you define it.

Also, how can you say that the % of people that don't put effort into life is small? This generation of 20-40 year olds is extremely lazy and you are in denial if you say otherwise. It's a well known fact that this generation is lazy. Blame it on lazy parents, blame it on George Bush, or whatever but its a fact.

Of course the number is small. There is no statistical evidence on any level that it's not small. I wouldn't disagree with that statement on the 20 to 40 year olds. I'm in that generation, and I definitely have a lazy side.

I'm not a Republican so that point is irrelevant. The fact is that we have people not putting their fair share into what matters so putting rich people out to blame our situation on is stupid.
