Hugh Freeze has proven himself to be the top closer in the business. When the top offensive lineman in the country, Laremy Tunsil, visited Oxford for the first time two weeks ago, he had never met Hugh Freeze. He had never even seen the Rebels' offense at work. He didn't know they ran an up tempo style. But for this recruit who some say had silently pledged to Georgia and Mark Richt just a week before, it didn't matter. Hugh Freeze closed the deal. How? Freeze says, "A lot of our success in recruiting has to do with God". Shortly after his visit to Oxford and his meeting with Freeze, Tunsil called the Bulldog staff and told them he was signing with Ole Miss. Chalk one up to Hugh Freeze, the best closer in the business.

I wasn't going to say anything, but since we're talking about it... in that post you also probably missed the apostrophe for "Nobodys" which I believe is a contraction of "nobody is".

For the record, that Wasn't an Ole Miss fan that talked about Freeze being the best closer. No one really believes we are about to be a national power house. We do believe we are working toward some type of relevance in the next 3-6 years. We will continue to support this program like it's a national powere house though. Hopefully this years recruiting is the starting point.

What you have to realize is that Ole Miss fans are delusional by their nature They think they are an SEC power house and one of the sacred cows of the NCAA. They think Oxford, with all its narrow streets and traffic congestion, is the greatest place on the earth. They also think they can actually attract top players without giving them an incentive to come there.

What they don't realize is that they have been paying players for years, and it hasn't helped them yet. Why? Because they judge character poorly, and when the money runs out, the players realize that they are in hell for the next 3-5 years and end up going somewhere else. See Tobias SIngleton, who is now at Jackson State. See Patrick Patterson and Tig Barksdale, who were both thugs.
