@way2saturday - Win a trip to the BCS title game

  • theBlueBoard Members,

We found someone crazy smart enough to sponsor a post on theBlueBoard! AT&T is running a contest that some of you diehards may know about and they want to get the word out to the rest of theBlueBoard (yes, it's true). Sounds wild enough to draw some of your spare time. Who knows, someone may get lucky and win the trip to the 2013 Discover BCS National Championship Game (I would love for a tBlueBoarder to win the trip and would definitely offer up a badge for that).

Please welcome our first sponsor and win those tickets! Details below:

This season, AT&T is challenging two college football fans to literally follow ESPN’s popular pregame show on the college road trip of a lifetime called “On The Way To Saturday.”

Each Sunday, when the ESPN College GameDay location is announced, Will & Ravi set out on a road trip and tackle a series of challenges suggested by fans designed to test their love for the game.

Fans who follow Will and Ravi @way2saturday “On the Way to Saturday” http://way2saturday.com will have 2 opportunities to win a trip to the 2013 Discover BCS National Championship Game.

    Feeling Mischievous and Creative?

Suggest a challenge for Will & Ravi. If your challenge is chosen you’ll have the chance to win a trip to the National Championship Game. So far they’ve given Tusk, the Razorback’s mascot, a bath; tried to get Reveille, the A&M mascot, to bark; gotten dressed up with Big Al, and taught the Noles cheerleaders a new cheer. But you can top that. Go ahead and enter to win. http://way2saturday.com

    Feeling Laid Back but Lucky?

If you’re not the creative type but want to win, watch the videos of what those creative types did (below), write down the keyword, and then enter a sweepstakes. Could we make it any easier for you? http://way2saturday.com

    Thanks Snake!

I was surprised they got Reveille to bark in class. I bet USMCAG made Reveille bark all the time.

Yep, that's one way to get involved, or watch the videos and enter the key words into their sweepstake hoops

Hi guys. Thanks for your interest in On the Way to Saturday.
Here's the AT&T rep's answer: "They can submit any challenge idea, but I would refer them to http://way2saturday.com for the official entry forms and rules."

And because finding and reading the rules isn't the fun part, here are the applicable snippets and my humble interpretation. (But I should probably refer you to the full URL just to be Kosher: http://uverseonline.att.net/uv/sports/saturday-contest-rules)

"4. Contest Overview: To participate in the Contest, entrants must submit a description, in essay form, of an original challenge that entrant conceives for Will and Ravi to attempt to complete during their On the Way to Saturday journey. Up to three (3) Winners (hereinafter defined) will be selected during from each of the following three (3) entry periods:
    September 1, 2012 – 9:00 AM CT -October 5, 2012 – 11:59 PM CT "Entry Period No. 1"
    October 6, 2012- 12:00 AM CT– November 2, 2012- 11:59 PM CT "Entry Period No. 2"
    November 3, 2012 – 12:00 AM CT -November 25, 2012-9:00 AM CT "Entry Period No. 3" "

Now, "...during their OTWTS journey" sounds to me like it doesn't have to be for the current week, but it's up to you. This week is Stanford @ Oregon in case you're curious.

Hope that helps. And I'm with you T-Noles. Flying the Eagle would be cool. I think they're looking for something more along the lines of cleaning his cage.

And with Oregon this week one of the guys could don the Duck costume and do practice pushups like the real mascot does when they score. Couldn't be easy to do decked out as The Duck. (But I'm not eligible so one of you can have it)

And thank you to AT&T for supporting 247Sports!

  • One of our experts wondered what it would be like to get a tour of OSU from devidee. Haven't met him, I bet it would be entertaining ... not necessarily what a parent would want to hear while touring with their incoming freshmen, way more suited for tBB members.
