    A key difference between Al Davis and The Double J is that Al Davis was a "football guy" who was actually a good coach back in the day, and built the juggernaut Raiders teams of the 70's and 80's by himself without a Jimmy Johnson. Heck, he had an elite team just 10 years ago, it's not like Gruden had any say in the roster.

    Obviously he should have hung it up and stepped back and hired a GM and let his coaches coach in his latter years, but he wasn't just a billionaire playing fantasy football like Jerry.

    I see Hoke has won a BCS bowl, and has racked in two classes that are among the nations best. I see the U not doing anything and having an absolutely terrible defense.

Jerry had his hayday with aikman, Smith, Irvin, THE oline, and IMO the most underrated player on that team, MOOOOOOOSE! The wheels have officially fallen off since. Don't think I don't recognize the fact that I root for the lions whom have one of the most incompetent owners in all of sports, William clay Ford SR..

    I don't remember saying you guys won't win a BCS bowl game, I said you won't win a NC; 50 years and 1/2 NC and you guys say you are a elite program that just makes me laugh! Now look at us, thats how you win NC's sorry im not sorry.

    LMAOOOO Moose he's the reason why E.SMith ran for the most rushing yards and has the most rushing NFL TD's in NFL history, you know what Jerry jones thought Smith was ovverated figured the team would be fine w/o him. He couldn't be more wrong, there is nothing about E.SMith that is overrated. The guy is the very definition of greateness at every level. Mike Irvin and Aikman were like sh%% we need this guy, we can't win a championship w/o him. The cowboys in 1993 and 0-2 w/o Smith then when we signed him we won a title, just b/c he isn't the fastest or strongest guy in the world doesn't mean he wasn't one of the best RB's to ever play the game. Of course you think he's overrated b/c your a lions fan, every lions fan trashes E.Smith for having a great line instead of giving him the credit he so rightfully deserves. The shoulder seperation game proved to be he's one of the toughest SOB's, i seperated my shoulder before the pain is unbearable i can't imagine doing what he did..
