  • Some of the rankings on this site don't make any sense. This isn't one of them but it's still strange. So yeah a dual threat QB struggled with consistency a few days in practice but then he blew up in the skills comp and the game.

    That said, there are a number of other rankings that this site has blown much more than this.

    Fact is Winston is skinny, throws like a centerfielder, and has terrible footwork

    He has skills, but a 5 star he is not

    He never was imo

    Most of his hype came from the elite 11, a workout in shorts mind you

    I have seen Winston now in a few settings, the kid has always looked like a 4 star to me

    If you knew anything about QB you would have seen many holes in Winston's mechanics

    His long TD pass came against a kid who had no business on the field

    His pocket presence was terrible for somebody as mobile as him

    His motion is almost as bad as Tebows right now

    All he really proved was he can throw accurately on the move

    Imo you need to show more than that to be 5 stars

    4 stars win heismans so acting like Winston career is over is just stupid

    Nobody should care 5 star or no 5 star

    Doesn't smell like that to me fsufsu and im confident the only fans that would say that are a few Noles

    You've gone overboard with Winston though and can't be listened to anymore (on this subject). For whatever reason you're like an ex boyfriend giving a character witness on a chick in court.

    What you are saying is all 70% true but basically its just you screaming that a high school senior who spends half the year playing another throwing sport isn't a finished product in his delivery and positional nuance. YOU DON"T SAY.

    Jameis is a beast and a tremendous prospect. #4 was too high, but he's a top 20 prospect. You're just mad because you started emotionally disconnecting when you thought he was heading to Bama. Now you don't know what to do with yourself.

  • I don't undersand the Top247... shouldn't it go from the highest rated 5* down to the lowest rated 1*? It seems to have 5* and 4* mixed in... wouldn't that mean some of those 4* should be 5*?

    He is a tremendous talent but a bit of a project. To me at least a kid that is a project is not a 5*.

    Similar to Driskel last season in a way.

  • EJ was a project too, and I am not worried about Winston because Jimbo will help fix his mechanics like he did for EJ. Also EJ is not a bad QB, because when he got time he threw one of the most beautiful passes in the country. Just look at the passes he threw in the Champs Sports Bowl.

    they re-rate the players, then release the rankings. the rankings haven't been updated yet.
