OK, I'll put out my final picks for the 37 at large bids

Big East 8 (Cincinnati, Syracuse, Marquette, Georgetown, Notre Dame, UConn, WV, USF) Big Ten 5 (loser tomorrow, UM, Wisc, Purdue, Indiana) Big Twelve 5 (KU, ISU, KSU, UT, Baylor) ACC 4 (tomorrow's loser, Duke, NC State, Virginia) SEC 3 (Florida, Vandy, Alabama) Mountain West 3 (SDSU, UNLV, Colorado St.) WCC 2 (Gonzaga, BYU) A-10 2 (Temple, St. Louis) MVC 1(Wichita State) Pac-12 1 (Cal) C-USA (So. Miss)

That leaves 2 spots for (in no particular order)

Mississippi State Mississippi Drexel Iona Arizona Nevada Northwestern St. Joe's Marshall Washington Oregon Tennessee Seton Hall Middle Tennessee State Central Florida Akron

I would personally pick Drexel and Iona or Middle Tennessee State.

I'm guessing the committee selects Drexel (few high quality wins, but 16-2 in CAA, nearly beat VCU in tournament final) and Tennessee (most high quality wins, Florida x2, Vandy, UConn).

If St. Bonaventure wins the A-10 tomorrow, then Tennessee is removed.

    Just my guess.

Edited to add So. Miss. to lock at large bid (overlooked in earlier list).

Can I brag any for only missing Iona over Drexel?

Kenpom + rpi (using this morning's Kenpom and rpi)

    BYU 96
    Iona 97
    Miami 98
    West Virginia 99
    Drexel 106
    Seton Hall 115
    Marshall 118
    Mid Ten State 118
    South Florida 119
    Northwestern 121
    Oregon 127
    Akron 135
    Ole Miss 142
    Miss State 150+

Held to form, it looks, with the exception of South Florida. Last minute updates may push WVU back ahead of Miami

Thanks (and thanks to OldOaken, too), but I do think it was an easier field to project than in most years. I think a plurality, if not a majority, of those listed on the bracketproject matrix had similar results. (One guy had Iona but missed BYU).

Yeah, I do. IU got screwed. If the beat NMSU they get the VCU - WSU winner.

I think UNLV's victory over UNC back in November had far too great a ripple effect in a lot of power rankings.

As a result, they have UNLV too high, several teams in the MWC (maybe the conference as a whole) too high, and teams that beat UNLV too high. That's you, Wichita State.

The Shockers are a very, very good team, but they aren't 3 seed caliber. I think 5 was about right.

They should not have to face VCU in the first game. I hate that Indiana is stuck with the winner of that game if they advance against NM ST.
