CBSSports.com has obtained documents that show the dialogue between Northwestern and its players regarding the players' upcoming union vote on Friday.
Northwestern is a private institution and isn't mandated to comply with Freedom of Information Act requests, but CBS obtained the documents and a NU official confirmed the authenticity of the 21-page document.
The questions and answers touch on a variety of topics including scenarios if the union vote passes or fails. If the union vote goes through, it's possible players and coaches might not be able to talk about certain issues because they may have to be negotiated in collective bargaining. If the vote passes, even those players that voted no will be part of the union.
NU responses to the questions stongly encourage the players to vote against the union.
