Someone needs to fess up on ranking Kyle Anderson a five star, top 10 recruit. He's tall. What else? Scotty Hopson all over again.
9pts and 9rbs. So I stand corrected, he's already better than Hopson. That said, he lacks any semblance of suddenness to his game. Looks passive, outside shot looks ok. He's not a 2 and not really a 3. ????
Scored 17ppg and was an ALL SEC player...
Yeah he made a bad decision by turning pro but he was actually not that bad.

Might want to let him play a few more games. Everyone who ranks could be wrong, but I doubt it in Kyle Anderson's case.
I'm going with Meyer for the time being on this one fsu
Anderson's game isn't all about scoring. He's a point forward type who could potentially have multiple triple-doubles this year. With Muhammad eligible now, Anderson is likely to score a little less but he should average 8-11 PPG, 6-8 RPG, and 5-6 APG. That's still quite an impact
Saw him live opening night...nothing special. He gets moved all over...
If you want to start saying Scotty Hopson is a good basketball player I will type a million words arguing it. I am a double graduate of Tennessee and a basketball purist. I wouldnt pick Hopson to play on a middle school team. The way he plays the game is infuriating.
Tell me why you had him so high, thats the question.
Watching UCLA again to make sure. Man, one thing we can all agree on: Josh Smith is a slob of a human being and should be redshirted and sat until he gives a crap.
yea hes pathetic. I was wanting him at IU bad and now really glad he isnt.
mkillian247 on twitter..... I say a lot of stuff you wont care about.
The best rebounding and passing perimeter player in the class. One of the best feels for the game I've ever seen for a player his age. Can create a shot. Not the best shooter, though. Slow footed but great hands and anticipation on defense.
Not surprised there will be a translation adjustment. He is weak physically right now.
Some players games translate immediately. With some it takes more times.
Certainly, Anderson might have been over valued as a prospect. He is perhaps the most unique prospect I've scouted and I love his positive attributes as a player.
We will see. Right now he isn't playing up to his ranking, but I'm not surprised nor worried.
He can get his own shot but is a below average shooter? Every person who picks up a ball can get their own shot but be a bad shooter.... He is very soft and hates contact. he doesn't slash aggressively at all. And he has the room...when Josh isn't on the court UCLA is a perimeter team basically...the Wear twins love to stay at 15 feet except to attack the boards.. Adams is the steal of that class....and he got 0 respect.
Never thought that Kyle was soft when I scouted him. Led Peach Jam in rebounding. UCLA's top rebounder but I haven't seen him in a college game yet.
I'm not selling my Kyle Anderson stock.
We dont want to buy, we can wait and get it later at pennies on the dollar. The guy looks like a marshamallow out there. Gets shoved around bu 6'1 170 guys and looks incapable of scoring on the next level. He's half the player that other 6'7 pg that was a five star was. The guy who shredded his knee. Came out like 7 years ago. he was an actual player, this kid is not good.
Good grief. Ucla on espn and this kid is just terrible. Keep that stock Jerry. I'll buy it as a penny stock in a month. Howland has fallen off the map. This ucla team is like dead men walking.
Looked awkward as hell on a breakaway layup and now they have to take him out because he can't shoot free throws!?!?
Keep grinding that axe.
Look, sometimes the industry as a whole whiffs. See Greg Paulus. And he looked good early in his career.
I'm not surprised by Kyle Anderson's slow start. See Michael Carter-Williams.
I've been around this long enough to wait longer than this before pronouncing someone a bust.
MCW is dropping an absurd amount of dimes. He's a hell of a player. Good call.
UCLA playing Mizzou and this dude still sucks. My axe is sharp as hell.
Just saw DeAndre Liggins on the court for Oklahoma City. Remember how bad he was as a freshman?
He was never that good as a junior or in the NBA
FWIW, saw this on CBS:
Kyle Anderson , has been playing extremely well lately. Anderson is averaging 12.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in Pac-12 play, showing the versatile skillset that made him so sought-after in high school.
