First 1 or 2 seed to go home?

  • Outside of Kansas having one of the hardest 2/15 games I can remember I think that Michigan State can get beat by a Memphis team that has played very well at the end of the year winning 11 of 12 (and yes, by stating it this way I know it also means 11 of 13).

  • I think Syracuse could have some trouble with Vandy in the sweet 16

  • The Buckeye fan in me doesn't want to admit that the conference winner could have trouble, but I think that Memphis can give MSU one hell of a game in the 2nd round. Memphis has the talent and underperformed early in they year, but I think that they can take down MSU. Losing Dawson didn't kill them but it hurts and Memphis can push the tempo.

  • I hate Missouri drawing Florida in the 3rd round. I know Florida is on a terrible stretch right now, but they have talent.

  • As a Memphis fan I would love for them to beat MSU but I have them losing to MSU. They do seem to be peaking at the right time though. If they come out and blast St. Louis like they have been killing their opponents lately then I think they will make a big run. But I think they come out and scrap by St. Louis then lose a close one to michigan state.

  • i hope this doesn't happen (for ti to happen, it means bama has lost in rd 1 to creighton), but creighton is a dangerous 8 seed that could knock out unc early.

they have one of the best scorers in the nation (#3 in nation in ppg, #5 in 3pt fg%) that can take over a game and is big enough to get inside a little at 6'7", but shoots just under 50% from beyond the arch as well.

and as a team they average 80 ppg (6th nationally), lead nation in fg% (#1), and are top 3 in 3pt fg%.

that's the type of team that, if they're hot from beyond the arch, they can take down the top seeds and move deep in the tourney.

however, they lack a decent defense and have struggled with quick guards that get in the paint, which bama likes to do, so they might not make it past bama (who, imo, has very little chance vs unc)

  • Syracuse falls to Kansas State.

  • I was going to pick UT-Arlington as the team most likely to be a 16 seed to upset a 1 seed, but it forgot to win its conference tournament.

Either SU vs KSU mentioned earlier or UNC.
