  • They changed their phone numbers. They UA rep that organizes their AAU schedule and whatnot needed to speak to them so he got the number. Then a week later when Calipari and Turgeon asked for the new number they got it.

    If they go to Maryland, it'll be because Daddy doesn't want to piss Under Armor off.. which is kinda stupid, IMO. Even if they go to UK, they'll STILL be able to sign with Under Armor after they leave school. In all honesty, if they're smart they go to UK, where they can market their brand, win a (possible) championship, and go in the top 5. What does Maryland give them? Being the big fish in a small pond ? Under Armor money?

    *note* YES, I'm biased. I'm a Kentucky fan. It makes more sense to ME for them to go to Kentucky. Either way.. we'll see tomorrow.

    If you write an entire article on this recruitment and don't mention Mark Turgeon and Bino Ranson you don't know what you are talking about and just went for the cheap/easy headline grab with the shoe story.

    Plain and simple. Obviously UA is a factor but its not remotely close to the only one and people are blowing it way out of proportion. See Telep and Evan Daniels twitter accounts today for some solid points on that.

    -They can't do those things at Maryland? Obviously Cal has the track record but that doesn't mean the twins think they can't accomplish all that stuff out of Maryland as well.

    -Small pond? LOL. They would be playing in front of 18,000 people in a top 5(ish?) media market, in the most "historic" conference, for a program that had a more recent national title then UK up until this past April.

    The point is UK fans really overrate stuff like "exposure" and "winning a championship". The decision is a lot more complex then that.

    Yeah.. we over rate those things. Guess it's better to disagree than getting into a pissing match with you. I'd wish you luck, but think they're coming to UK. So have a good day.
