I'd say most of the top teams in basketball do some dirty recruiting. Cal just does it the best and gets out before the NCAA gets in.

Calipari actually doesn't have any history of major recruiting violations. I have no doubt that he breaks rules, just like I have no doubt that any of the top programs break the rules when it comes to recruiting.

His birthday was not too long ago.

Funny how fans of a program that have been in serious trouble with the NCAA in both major sports in the last ten years and persecuting Cal. For all the football fans of big time schools why don't you look in the mirror. Much more cheating goes on at your schools in football recruiting. Thinking otherwise is downright niave and stupid. Have fun hating the bball Cats!

To all of those who think/feel that Cal is dirty and UK is going down (due to scandal) soon: I truly don't blame you.

With the stranglehold that Cal and UK have on top tier talent at the moment, I would be praying for anything to bring that to a close if I were in your shoes.

HAHA you need to understand that situation a little more. When he got that recruiting class his first year those kids were already going to Memphis except for John Wall (undecided). And when Calipari left DeMarcus Cousins was called by reporters and he said that he would go to whatever school Calipari was going to (which was the case for many of the players). All those players wanted to play for Calipari and thats the truth. I cannot see Calipari cheeting at UK; he could have with John Wall but he sat out untill it was all cleared by the NCAA. Also, with Enes Kanter; Calipari did not allow him to do anything that would be considered cheating all season. He and Kanter went through the entire process together and it just so happened that the NCAA said he could not play. How is that cheating?

Also, Calipari does do what every other college basketball coach does. Some say he is dirty but right now in the eyes of the NCAA the school athletic departments and the school administration (not John Calipari) are the ones at fault! You can say he was involved all you want but to the people who decide if he is at fault in the situations; they don't seem to think so.

Hey, put together Cal's personality and the #1 program in the nation, this is what you get. Hater's gonna hate, that's just how life is and I totally understand. It's the same way I feel about many of the football schools in the country, particularly the SEC.

Please man-up and stop "casting stones." Gossip kills the spirit of the gossiper, not the person being talked about.

Case in point: I watched a great basketball game between Syracuse and Ohio State. The person announcing the game for CBS, at games end, just had to mention Syracuse problems with allegations of child abuse by a former coach, team drug policy violations, and a players academic ineligibility (2 times this year). They also mentioned The Ohio State's problem with football sanctions. QUESTION: now what does that have to do with the the great player effort and display of great coaching just witnessed? ANSWER: absolutely nothing.....it was shameful as is some of the no-balls, lack of back bone comments being stated on this thread. To you gossipers; please have some respect for yourselves and the schools you represent.

Now, to those of you who still don't get it: call me all the names you want, but most likely you haven't read this far. You probably already typed out another rant of gossip and hate.
