Kyle Anderson for UCLA

  • Someone needs to fess up on ranking Kyle Anderson a five star, top 10 recruit. He's tall. What else? Scotty Hopson all over again.

  • 9pts and 9rbs. So I stand corrected, he's already better than Hopson. That said, he lacks any semblance of suddenness to his game. Looks passive, outside shot looks ok. He's not a 2 and not really a 3. ????

    Scored 17ppg and was an ALL SEC player...

    Yeah he made a bad decision by turning pro but he was actually not that bad.

    Might want to let him play a few more games. Everyone who ranks could be wrong, but I doubt it in Kyle Anderson's case.

  • Anderson's game isn't all about scoring. He's a point forward type who could potentially have multiple triple-doubles this year. With Muhammad eligible now, Anderson is likely to score a little less but he should average 8-11 PPG, 6-8 RPG, and 5-6 APG. That's still quite an impact

    If you want to start saying Scotty Hopson is a good basketball player I will type a million words arguing it. I am a double graduate of Tennessee and a basketball purist. I wouldnt pick Hopson to play on a middle school team. The way he plays the game is infuriating.

    The best rebounding and passing perimeter player in the class. One of the best feels for the game I've ever seen for a player his age. Can create a shot. Not the best shooter, though. Slow footed but great hands and anticipation on defense.

    Not surprised there will be a translation adjustment. He is weak physically right now.

    Some players games translate immediately. With some it takes more times.

    Certainly, Anderson might have been over valued as a prospect. He is perhaps the most unique prospect I've scouted and I love his positive attributes as a player.

    We will see. Right now he isn't playing up to his ranking, but I'm not surprised nor worried.

He is very soft and hates contact. he doesn't slash aggressively at all. And he has the room...when Josh isn't on the court UCLA is a perimeter team basically...the Wear twins love to stay at 15 feet except to attack the boards.. Adams is the steal of that class....and he got 0 respect.

    Never thought that Kyle was soft when I scouted him. Led Peach Jam in rebounding. UCLA's top rebounder but I haven't seen him in a college game yet.

    I'm not selling my Kyle Anderson stock.
