  • Not used to seeing Colorado up that high in recruiting. Is that because they had a respectable year last year and turning that program around? Or other than Arizona and UCLA there werent spectacular classes?

OldOaken247 on twitter..... I say a lot of stuff you wont care about.

Theres a lot of mediocrity in that conference and Colorado has a pretty good staff. Im not surprised to see them that high with the rest of the crap in the mid to bottom of the Pac-12.

And Im putting UCLAs class #1 all day everyday and its not even close.

  • Overall the Pac-10 did not have what I would even consider a "good" recruiting class. Arizona and UCLA with distinct recruiting advantages in 2012. In comparison to the rest of the Pac-12 Colorado did improve itself. Xavier Johnson, who's been kind of an enigma on the west coast, has a very high ceiling while Scott is a legitimate big man that should thrive at CU.

No disrespect intended toward USC. You just have to wonder where the scoring is going to come from on this roster beyond 2-3 guys. Kevin O'Neill has typically recruited big men that can shoot the 15-18 foot jumper, but didn't accomplish that with this class.

*Hard to really challenge or argue anyone who thinks UCLA has the top class so I won't. We did take into consideration transfer players, which isn't the norm and because we did, IMO, Mark Lyons and T.J. McConnell trump UCLA's transfer edition of Larry Drew II (2011, but eligible to play this season).

    Thanks for the comments gentlemen!

But Colorado will still be a bottom feeder in the conference in my opinion.

Agreed. hoops But if nothing else happens in that conference, Utah has got to extricate themselves from the lower pit of hoops hell that they find themselves in.

LOL are you serious? Tad Boyle, in his two years at CU, has won 24 games each season, should have been in the tournament in his first year. Last year, we lost over 75% of our scoring. Boyle has had three distinctly different play styles in his three years here, and nothing even comes close to pointing that CU will be a bottom feeder in the Pac 12. Our recruiting has been great and Boyle is a excellent coach (one of the best east of the Mississippi).

I'm very curious to hear why you think we will be a bottom feeder.
