How confident are you in that perceived leader status? A number of solid writers/bloggers saying FSU if it were today. I admit, likely a few more are saying UK.

Do you think UNC has any chance here?
I know he was always UK and FSU, but it seems UK is fading now due to them already signing 3 big time players and also going after Randle strong.

Lets all be realistic here. Until Calipari & UK don't land him they are the realistic leader for him & almost every other recruit they are after. Cal's track record of landing the guys he wants is pretty damn good.
UK is the leader.

FSU shouldn't hate UK considering the program helped Coach Hamilton get to the position he's at.
Anyway, where else should Wiggins go other than UK? Sure he'll be a lotto pick anywhere he goes, but he won't get the same exposure, competition, or coaching anywhere other than UK. The only place that comes close at the moment would be UNC. Despite the fact a UK fan on our board is saying he's hearing different from Huntington Prep's coach, I firmly believe Calipari wins out again. With all due respect to FSU, I don't see how the Cats lose out to you just like the football Cats would beat you all out for a star recruit. It's just not likely to happen.

There are plenty of good coaches in college basketball. To say he can't get the same type of coaching elsewhere is absurd. Also, there are a much better basketball conferences than the SEC. About 4-5 better conferences. The Big Ten has 3 teams in the top 5 going into the season. He'll have plenty of competition in other conferences.

Ohio St fan here...people can say what they want about Coach Calipari but, he’s churned out 15 NBA draft picks, 11 first-rounders, two No. 1 overall selections, five top-five picks and seven lottery picks at Kentucky. Wiggins is his to lose. Don't get it twisted...you think these top rated guys are going to Kentucky to become Chemical Engineers....In the words of Clay Davis.

UK would have the 5th highest payroll in the NBA let alone the NCAA. The ostrich mentality of the NCAA when it comes to this issue is sad. Every banner Cal hangs up will come down just like Umass and Memphis. Joke he isn't banned or given a show cause penalty. $$$$$$ is what makes the NCAA go round.

We will see if 1 of those top 5 BIG teams can take 'em down. I don't think KY is quite as good as recent years past.
