    It's funny that, even with the Buckeyes ineligible for post-season play this year, I'm just as psyched up for this season as any other season.

    It would be great if they surprise everyone, go 12-0, and win the mythical AP national championship. I know it's unlikely, but one can still dream. However, I'll be happy with a 9-3 or 10-2 season which is more reasonable.

    Ha ha, great point. On both I'd probably wonder whether Kain Colter (NW) or MarQueis Gray (Minn.) are the quarterbacks capable to take those teams/programs to another level.

    For NU, that would be 7-8 wins with a bowl win.

    For Minnesota, that would be 5-7 or 6-6 with a bowl bid.

    The press conference begins at 11 a.m. Eastern/10 a.m. Central. Urban Meyer is at 11:30 Eastern. It will be live on ESPNU (I believe) as well as BTN. Might be ESPN News, not sure off hand. Definitely BTN, though.

  • This conference stinks. Over half of this conference is bad. Thats what you get though with low paid coaches and staff. Wake yourself up Delaney. Put teams like Minnesota, Indiana and Purdue on a warning. And please dont use your academic pristine as a exuess. Look at Vanderbilt. They would beat most teams in this conference. We are a laughing stock and Im tired of it.

  • This conference is going to struggle B1G time this year. The only team that's going to finish in the top 10 is OSU. The Big 10 will only be sending one team to a BCS bowl this year. I'd like to know what their philosophy will be regarding future scheduling with the four team playoff.

    I hear ya fan. How about a scrubz division. Poor Minnesota, the idiot AD fired the best coach/recruiter we've had in years( Glenn Mason) and hired the pitiful Webster.(Mason beat Alabama in a bowl game)They had to can Webster as no one wanted to play for him and got Jerry Kill. Got to give Kill time to rebuild as webster left the cupboard nearly bare. We are always fighting off the crybaby flip/poachers from neighboring WiskySin to make things worse. Also Kill hasnt discovered Ohio players yet like Mason was so good at. UFM is going to have to run the scores up to get the playoff bid. Its ok though, I think the Gophers can take one for the B1G as long as the Bucks krush tha BadGers too. It will be hard to turn down the mon$ter fan base of The Ohio State University.
