We look at all 10 Big Ten bowl games with a ton of notables on each game. This includes Wisconsin-Oregon in the Rose and Michigan-Virginia Tech in the Sugar.

  • Too many games at the same time just like the good 'ole days. One tv per game.

I MUST go a little Bucknuts every day.

  • Michigan is going to destroy Va Tech. Destroy. Good for the B10 image but Va Tech belongs in the NobodyCares.com bowl.

  • How did we get 4 B1G games all at the same time on the 2nd? Not cool!

  • So Penn State is on at noon, then Ohio State, Michigan State, and Nebraska all play at 1 p.m.? That is terrible scheduling for Big10 fans.

Yes, you need 4 TVs or a good sports bar. Just came from new BW3's on 256 in Reynoldsburg. They have a GREAT set-up with 8 nice HD flat screens flanked by a big projection unit. They can show 7-8 games at once. I bet that's the place to be on an NFL Sunday (or college FB Saturday).

This was the vision of ESPN and Jim Delany. They wanted 4 games going at once with 3 of them pitting SEC vs. Big Ten. The audience will drift to whatever game is most compelling. Last year, it was NOT the Michigan or MSU games. The Outback with PSU-Florida was good until about 4 min. left. (I think PSU threw a late pick-6 that took it from 7 to 14 and ended the suspense, thereabouts.)

They want a rolling roadblock of games siphoning everybody to ESPN at 5 p.m. for the Rose Bowl. That was there hope in doing this this way. They used to stagger the Outback and Capital One. They must have decided this would be better. They are just gambling that 1-2 of these games turns out to be a good one.

  • Personally, I hope VA Tech puts up 50 against Michigan University. GAWD I can't stand them....

i remember a few years ago when the BIG signed bowl contracts with the insight and gator bowls that it would be difficult to watch because 4 of them are all on at the same time.

i wish they could spread some of them out a little more

    That's good stuff Steve!

Thanks for the explanation of why they would schedule that way.

  • Well Steve to me as a sports fanatic this is the best time of the year .And as a college football fan it is always fun watching teams play each other that usually don't . The big 10 having 10 teams playing !! woe,ok 7-3 would be great . 6-4 would be decent . 5-5 is ok but anything less will suck literally suck!! As much as I hate Scum and Wisky I do cheer for the Big 10.It would be nice to see Purdue get us going. and then you never know . Wisky last year was to cocky if they are to cocky with Oregon they will get there butts kicked . Michigan should be ok if there D shows up.va tech is there every year no slouch .The Bucks will be ok if the Defense tackles and has a pass rush .Iowa ? Northwestern I'm thinking a high scoring fun game big win ..Sparty in a tight one .My prediction is 5-5 Wisky blows it !!!!!

My guess is that ESPNU and BTN will be replaying them until the cows come home.
