Gundy has no comment on Arkansas job

  • Gundy was asked Monday about reports that have linked him to Arkansas. He declined comment, saying he does not want to talk about speculative reports or other jobs.

    After leading OSU to school-record 12 victories and the program's first BCS bowl appearance last season, Gundy was rewarded with a new contract that extends through the 2019 season. The net worth of the contract is $29.725 million.

    Arkansas, which reportedly will break the bank for a new coach, is searching for a replacement for John L. Smith, who is completing a one-season interim stint.

    TCU's Gary Patterson also has been mentioned as an Arkansas candidate.

  • Don't see Gundy going to Arkansas and leaving the big money and power brokers of OSU behind. But then again he is some what in the shadow of Stoops and UO just about no matter what he does. BUT I will hand him this, I do believe his reply of "not wanting to talk about it" when asked about another job is the best response in a situation like this that I have seen.
