Michigan linebacker commitment Darrin Kirkland Jr. from Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis is participating in The Opening - a competition that includes many of the top college football prospects in the country. Kirkland, a four-star prospect who is ranked No. 168 in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite, went against four-star tight end Jackson Harris of Columbia, Tenn., in a one-on-one drill that was captured on Vine video by 247Sports Director of Scouting Barton Simmons.
Kirkland is ranked slightly ahead of Harris. The Georgia commitment checks in at No. 219 overall in the 247Sports Composite, and Kirkland got the better of the talented tight end on this play.
