“Book” Richardson has served as an assistant coach for six seasons under Sean Miller. He joined Miller’s coaching staff at Xavier in 2007 and helped lead the Muskateers to 57 wins in two seasons, which included two conference titles and trips to the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight. Richardson followed Miller to Arizona in 2009 and is a key reason why the Wildcats have produced three consecutive nationally ranked recruiting classes.

Richardson, who graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, began his coaching career at his alma mater as the associate head coach in 1999, helping to lead the Mountain Cats to a 23-4 record, the best in school history. Richardson then spent three seasons as an assistant at Monroe College before becoming an assistant coach at Marist College in 2004-05 where he coordinated recruiting, scouting and individual workouts for the guards, and overall player skill development.
