Bio

Sean Miller is in his fourth season at the University of Arizona, and ninth overall as a college head coach. Miller’s career record at Xavier and Arizona combined is 212-88 (.707). At Arizona, Miller has posted a record of 92-41 (.692). Miller’s Wildcats won the 2011 Pac-10 regular season championship and capped its 30-win season by advancing to the Elite Eight. Miller was named the 2010-11 Pac-10 Conference Coach of the Year, and also earned NABC District 20 Coach of the Year honors.

Miller coached for five seasons at Xavier where four of his teams won at least 20 games in a season. Those four teams all advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Miller helped Xavier advance to the Sweet 16 in 2008 and 2009, with his 2008 club reaching the Elite Eight. Miller’s Xavier teams won better than 71% of games against conference foes, including a 39-9 conference record (.813) in his last three seasons as the Muskateers coach. Miller won three Atlantic 10 conference regular season championships (2007-09), as well as the 2006 A-10 postseason tournament.

Miller has been among the coaching ranks for 19 years as a head coach, assistant or associate head coach with stops at N.C. State, Pittsburgh, Miami (OH), Wisconsin, and Xavier and now Arizona. In those 19 years, Miller has been involved in 19 postseason trips (9 NCAA/7 NIT).

Miller was a star point guard and four-year lettermen at the University of Pittsburgh.
