The Skinny: In the 2012 cycle, Notre Dame has continued to rework the DNA of its defensive line as five-star Jarron Jones (who could also be an excellent offensive tackle) an four-star Sheldon Day highlight that position. The Irish also have one of the best pair of cornerback prospects in the country in Ronald Darby (also one of the nation’s fastest players) and Tee Shepard. Deontay Greenberry, who like Shepard is from Fresno, Calif., is definitely a player to watch in this class. He could be a star at receiver or safety in South Bend. Five-star quarterback Gunner Kiel remains on the board.
