The Skinny: To get the program back to the level they are accustomed to, the Vols have to win out-of-state recruiting battles and their 2012 class features some of those types of games- Texas four-star safety LaDarrell McNeil, Texas linebacker Dalton Santos and Michigan defensive tackle Danny O’Brien come to mind. In-state wide receiver Drae Bowles adds another piece to a talented young receiving corps and Georgia athlete Jason Croom is a versatile prospect who could end up at any of 3-4 different positions.
