The Skinny: The Mountaineers have done a good job in the Northeast this cycle landing versatile difference-makers like Deontay McManus (has a chance to be special on defense) from Maryland, Nate Smith (who is a big-time safety if he will commit to playing that position) from Pennsylvania and Brandon Napoleon (a WVU legacy) from New Jersey. Quarterback Ford Childress from Texas could be a record-setter in West Virginia’s system. He’s a bit under-appreciated.
