2011 team rankings: Nos. 26-50

247Sports and our partners at PrepStars.com are proud to unveil our top 50 programs in the final class of 2011 team rankings.

Rodney Hood is the gem of the Mississippi State class, which is No. 26 in the 247Sports/PrepStars.com team rankings.

Today, we’re releasing Nos. 26-50. Tomorrow, we’ll reveal the top 25.

One of the surprises today is Western Kentucky, which checks in at No. 32 nationally.

The Hilltoppers landed Derrick Gordon, a top-50 wing from New Jersey. That helped WKU rank ahead of many “Big Six” programs and several traditional powers from smaller conferences.

There were a few other surprises as well, according to Rob Harrington of PrepStars.com.

“It's typical for Memphis and Xavier to join the ranks of the power conference schools among the top 50 classes, but Charleston and Central Florida rarely make an appearance. They did this year,” Harrington said.

Charleston checked in at No. 37, UCF at 39th.
